The historic Granada Buildings are located in the Westlake district of
downtown Los Angeles, where the stardust of a bygone era still hangs in
the air. Comprising four buildings, the "Granada Studios and Shoppes"
complex was built in 1927. One of its first tenants was a young photographer
named George Hurrell. In 1929, working in Suite Number Nine, Hurrell made
his now-legendary portraits of Ramon Novarro and Norma Shearer. Seventy
years later, Mark A. Vieira moved to the Granada Buildings and opened
the Starlight Studio, offering the services shown on this web site.
