ABOUT THE SERIES


Mark A. Vieira, author of the Harry N. Abrams book, Hollywood Dreams Made Real, introduces a series of films from Hollywood’s Golden Era, presented here in high-quality 16mm prints.

PLEASE NOTE: Programs now commence promptly at 7:30 PM; no food, beverages or active cell phones, please. Schedules are posted subject to print availability. Please check our web site on the day of the screening.

The studio has security parking and is located at 672 South La Fayette Park Place in the historic Granada Buildings in the Westlake District of downtown Los Angeles. Seating is very limited. Reservations are required. Please call 213-383-2448 or e-mail us: thestarlightstudio@sbcglobal.net

Here’s how it works:

• We send you the list of titles in our holdings.
• You pick a film.
• We agree on a date.
• We do a screening, which includes an introduction.
• We ask $20 per person.

Take Highway 101 south to Benton Way.
Go forward one block from the freeway exit.
Turn right at Rampart Blvd.
Take Rampart south (past Beverly, Third, and Wilshire) to Seventh Street.
Turn right at Seventh.
Drive one block west to Hoover, but do not turn onto Hoover.
Make a sharp right onto La Fayette Park Place (there is no street sign, just a corner).
Go to the silver intercom box under the marquee that says "Granada Buildings," and press 48.
Take the stairs or the elevator to the second floor. Bear left.
Knock on Suite 48.
